MADISON, Wis. -

Police are seeking help from the public in locating an Appleton man who was last seen on Madison's near south side Wednesday.

Madison police said Charles Geurts, 26, was last seen leaving the place he was staying in the 700 block of John Nolan Drive at 2:20 a.m. Wednesday.

No foul play is suspected, but police said there's concern for Geurts' welfare because of the cold weather.

Geurts is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, with blond hair, blue eyes and was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and boots.

Anyone with information about Geurts' whereabouts is asked to call Madison police at 608-266-4275.
