Janesville, WI -

Madison La Follette figured to have a tough weekend on the diamonds, playing two of the state's top 10 teams. They won in walk off fashion Friday at Sun Prairie. Saturday, the Lancers went to Janesville Craig and walked out 6-3 winners over the 10th ranked cougars.

The game started out fast as both teams scored two runs in the first inning. From there, the Lancers seized control. In the third inning, Jerrod Matthews started things out for the Lancers. His RBI single to center field plated a run and gave the Lancers a 3-2 lead. The Lancers added three more runs in the third and went on to win 6-3.

Up next for the Lancers, a home date with Beloit Memorial on Monday at 5 p.m.
