3 nightclub employees beaten

MADISON, Wis. -

Three employees of an east side night club were beaten following a disturbance outside the club early Friday morning.

Madison police said one of the employees of Plan B, at 924 Williamson Street, tried to break up an argument between two men when one of the men attacked him.

Jesse E. C. Bodie, 25, of Madison, grabbed the security employee by the hair and punched him in the head, police said. The security guard told police he tried to get Bodie and his friends to leave but they refused and threatened more violence.

The guard was then punched by a second man.

Police said another security employee came to help and was placed in a headlock and punched in the head.

A third employee arrived and was punched in the nose.

Police said they caught Bodie as he tried to run from the scene. He told police he was only defending himself.

Bodie was arrested on suspicion of battery, disorderly conduct and resisting an officer.

Another man was cited and released.
