LA PRAIRIE TOWNSHIP, Wis. -

Three people were hurt in a two-vehicle collision in Rock County on Sunday.

The Rock County's Sheriff's Office said a pickup truck did not yield properly at the intersection of Townline Road and County Highway G in La Prairie Township. The truck was hit by a minivan when it entered the intersection at around 1 p.m.

The collision caused the truck to roll over and the minivan to spin.

Authorities said open bottles of alcohol were found in the truck.

The driver, Miguel De Aquino Benito, 25, and his passenger Ruben Abarca Meudino, 32, both of Beloit, were transported to a hospital but have been released.

Authorities said neither man was wearing a seat belt.

Joan Wotton, 85, was driving the minivan. She was wearing a seat belt and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Aquino Benito has been charged with two counts of operating while intoxicated causing injury, failure to yield right of way causing bodily harm, open intoxicants asĀ  driver and seat belt violation. Abarca Meudino has been cited for open intoxicants as a passenger and seat belt violation.
