What is your favorite part about living in Madison?

The variety of things to do on any given day whether it’s concerts, sporting events, or just checking out different restaurants or Madison hangouts. Having to work on the weekends, it’s nice to live in a place with a lot going on during my days off in the middle of the week.

What is the biggest news story that you've covered?

Covering the Brewers in the NLDS and NLCS in 2011 would probably take the cake. The Brewers have only been to the playoffs twice in the last thirty years, so to see it first hand was a privilege. Also, covering the Packers play the NFC Championship game in Chicago was a special experience.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I like to play basketball, golf, whiffle ball, football, and bags. I also like to go to the beach, go out to eat, watch Netflix, go to sporting events, concerts, and grill out. Basically, I like to have fun and try new things.

What is your favorite kind of ice cream?

Bunny Tracks

What is the funniest thing that's ever happened to you?

I have had a lot of good times and a lot of laughs in my life. Some are appropriate and some are not. I cannot pin point one in particular.

What is your favorite place to vacation?

Anywhere warm, wet, and sandy.

Who is your hero and why?

My mom. The things she pulled off as a single parent were nothing short of miraculous.

What was your favorite band when you were in high school?

High school was a long time ago, but if memory serves, 50 Cent.

What is your favorite sport to play or watch?

I enjoy playing basketball the most. I enjoy watching football, but I will tune into just about anything.

If you could possess one superhuman power, what would it be?

The power of flight would be cool. Having superhuman metabolism would be great as well.

What are you really bad at that you'd love to be great at?

I enjoy playing golf, but I’m not a particularly gifted player. I still like to go out and have fun though.

What is your most memorable travel experience?

I studied abroad in Europe in 2008 and was able to see London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Dublin. Those ten weeks abroad were unforgettable.

What is the worst job you have ever had?

I worked in a factory for a summer during college to save money. I made a lot of money, but assembly line work wasn’t for me.

Who would you most like to interview alive or dead, and why?

Jesus Christ. He’s arguably the most well known person ever. He is/was God in human form. Hard to top that.

What is your favorite tradition around the holidays?

Eating, being with family, giving gifts. Enjoying good time with good people.

What is your favorite song of all time?

Amish Paradise- Weird Al Yankovic

What is your favorite movie of all time?

Forrest Gump

What is your favorite book of all time?

The Bible

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Any financial advice my mom has ever given me. Unfortunately, I haven’t listened to al of it, but it’s all been good.

If you could relive any moment...what would that be?

You know what? I have lived a really happy life so far. I can’t pin point one particular moment that was the best. I guess any time that I can spend with family and friends is worth reliving. Time is a very finite thing, so I try to make the best of every moment I get.

Where were you when September 11, 2001 occurred?
9th grade study hall in the Peshtigo Middle/High School Library.
