Belleville, WI/Lancaster, WI-Marian Lucille McCormick, age 107, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Four Winds Manor in Verona. She was born on October 21, 1905 in South Lancaster Township, Grant County, WI to her parents Frank Earl and Gertrude Belle (Walker) Richardson. Marian attended the Farview School and the old Lancaster High School, now the site of the Lancaster Memorial Hospital. On March 21, 1925 she was united in marriage to Lloyd W. McCormick at Galena, IL. Marian farmed with her husband Lloyd in the Lancaster area until moving to town in 1958. She was an active member of the Cement School Community Club, the Rebekah Lodge, a leader for the Busy Badger 4-H Club, Lancaster Women’s Club, Lancaster Art Club, and Lancaster Garden Club. She was an ardent artist and won many awards. Marian received the first John Stuart Curry Memorial Medal for Rural Art in 1986, and she was also awarded Certificates of Merit at the WRAA State Shows. Her paintings were selected to be included in the Wisconsin Regional Art Association Traveling Show. Marian was an honorary member of the Wisconsin Regional Art Association and had served as Corresponding Secretary and sat on the Board of Directors.

Marian is survived by her daughter Katherine (Alvah) Weaver of Belleville, WI, grandchildren Michael McCormick, James McCormick, Patricia (Tom) Cadwaller, Ann (Ken) Roche, James (Cameron) Richards, Jean (Michael) Hampton, Ruth (Richard) Hands, and Nancy (Craig) Ontl. She is further survived by nineteen great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, son William Lloyd, an infant daughter Donna Jean, daughter-in-law Wilma (Budack) McCormick, sisters Lela Meir and Ruth Strong, brothers Delbert and Walter Richardson, great-granddaughter Virginia Ann Cadwallader, and a great-grandson Brian McCormick.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI with the Rev. Heide Walker Hackman officiating.

A graveside burial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2013 at Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster, WI.

Relatives and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of services on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home.
