What is the biggest news story that you've covered?

Hands down, the 2007 floods in southeast Minnesota. The historic event changed landscapes and lives forever. Helping a woman find her wedding ring amid her mud-covered home was a priceless moment. And I'd be remiss not to include the tornados that tore through Kentucky in 2012. Dozens of people were killed and towns wiped off the map. Our coverage was the most watched statewide and kept people informed during the event.

What was your favorite band when you were in high school?

I was obsessed with N'SYNC. I had every piece of memorabilia, bedroom walls covered in posters and saw several concerts. Pretty sure I’m still in love with Justin Timberlake.

What is your favorite sport to play or watch?

Volleyball. I played for years before a knee-injury sidelined me in high school. I’ve since taken up running instead.

What are you really bad at that you'd love to be great at?

I tell terrible jokes. And it's usually a few hours or even days later when I think of the wittiest quip or comeback.

If you could relive any moment...what would that be?

Christmas Eve, 2011. Not only did we celebrate my father's 60th birthday with both sides of my family crammed into the home I grew up in, but my longtime boyfriend proposed and we had another reason to celebrate that night.
