William "Bill" C. Whiting

Madison- William "Bill" C. Whiting, age 74, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his wife Roberta, and daughters, on Saturday, April 12, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Bill was born in Madison on March 27, 1940 to Carl and Marie Whiting. He graduated from West High school. Bill married Roberta Lewis on June 13, 1959. Bill loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, working in his yard, woodworking, and watching Packer and Badger games. Bill was a printer since 1958, starting his career with Blied Printing, and ending in 2011 with DeGolier Printing in Sun Prairie.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Roberta; two daughters Cindy (John) Beauchaine, and Patti (Jay) Parker of Verona; three grandchildren: Mike (Kris) Beauchaine of Sun Prairie, Nick Beauchaine of Illinois, and Ashley (Justin) Parker-Jones of Sun Prairie; two great-granddaughters Rachael Jones and Kayleigh Beauchaine, both of Sun Prairie; 4 step-great-grandchildren: Anika, Emma, Chloe, and Rees Neidinger; as well as many nieces and nephews. Further survived by 2 brothers; Dick (Bonnie) Whiting, and Topper (Joel) Whiting of Spring Valley Illinois, and sister-in-law Judy Whiting. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Raymond Whiting, sister Patricia Brickl, and brother-in-law Larry Brickl.

Bills family wishes to thank Dr.'s Campbell and Leal, and the staff at the UW Carbone Cancer Center for their care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 7:00 p.m., at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Avenue. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service.
