TOMAH-Timothy Michael Walkowski, age 53, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on Thursday, June 13, 2013.

He was born on July 31, 1959, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Catharine and Jerome Walkowski. Timothy is a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces (Army). He was currently attending Western Technical College in Tomah, WI.

Timothy enjoyed the outdoors including, canoeing, camping, hunting, fishing, and motor sports. He took great pride in his work at the Tomah VA Medical Center, where he worked with disabled veterans and veterans suffering post traumatic stress disorder. Timothy was a jovial person and well-liked by all who met him.

He is survived by his daughter, Amy (Tom) Lindert; mother, Catherine Laabs-Wild; father, Jerome Walkowski; brother, Stephen Walkowski; sisters, Mary (Pat) Miniaci and Frances Jane (Tommy) Shannon; brother, Mark (Brenda) Walkowski; sister Kathryn Figueroa; former spouse, Laura Loomis; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his nephews, Timothy Hiekel and Joshua Schulenberg.

A celebration of Timothy’s life will be on July 27th 2013 from 1:00pm-4:00pm located at the American Legion in Cross Plains WI. The ceremony of military honors will be held at 1:30pm.
