Susan A. Scholl, age 71, of Amherst, formally of DeForest, died peacefully June 25, 2013 at Oakridge Senior Living, Stevens Point, WI.

Sue was born on March 9, 1942 to the late John & Leona (Blum) Statz in Madison, WI. She grew up in Sauk City, attended the Catholic grade schools, and graduated from Sauk City High School.

Sue spent most of her adult life in the DeForest/Sun Prairie area with her significant other, Paddy Hauden. They owned and operated Hauden & Scholl Builders; building custom homes. Sue loved putting her personal touches into the designing and decorating of each home. They later retired and settled in Amherst, WI, where they have been residing.

Sue will be remembered for her loving nature, creative vision, and dedication to anything she did. In her free time, Sue loved gardening, deer hunting, trout fishing, decorating, & going on long walks. She poured her heart and soul into her work, and enjoyed building relationships with her clients and sub-contractors. Sue especially loved cheering on the Green Bay Packers & watching NASCAR racing. She was a huge fan of Elvis Presley. She was a member of the Wisconsin Rapids Corvette Club and passion for driving her Corvettes.

She is survived by her longtime loving companion of 43years, Paddy “Pat” Hauden; children, Kim (Gregg) Johnson, Nancy (Eric) Hamele, Lori (Dave) Elver, and Ty Hauden. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Darren Johnson, Danielle Johnson, Shannon Elver, Gracie Hamele, and Hudson Hauden; and her brother, Roger (Sherry) Statz.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 29, 2013 at St Olaf Catholic Church, 623 Jefferson Street,DeForest, with Rev. Robert Butz officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 am until time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be established at a later date in her name.

The family would like to give special thanks, offering their sincerest gratitude, to the staff at Oakridge Senior living and Aspirus Hospice for the care and comfort they gave to Sue, and to her family.
