Herbert A. Behl Jr.

Madison – Herbert A. Behl Jr., age 89, died on May 28, 2013 at the William S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital, Madison.

He was born on February 9, 1924 in Milton, WI, son of the late Herbert E. and Rose (Neumann) Behl Sr. Herbie served in the US Army in Europe during WWII. He was a farmer in Sullivan, WI and then became a plumber, working in the Oconomowoc area. Herbie was a lifetime member of the Solveson-Moos-Abrahamson VFW Post 2260 and also a member of the American Legion Post 91, both in Oconomowoc.

He is survived by his three children: Connie Evans, Steven Behl and Loretta Behl; two grandchildren, Stacey and Erik Evans; brother, John “Jack” Behl; and four nieces and three nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Carol Zahn and brother, Donald Behl.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Glenview Memorial Gardens, Chapel of Everlasting Memories, Ixonia, WI, with the Rev. Gerry Kuhnke officiating.
