Geneva Ward, 97, of Muscoda, died Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the Richland Hospital.

She was born September 29, 1916 in Gays Mills the daughter of Elmer and Bessie (Larette) Knaus. On November 25, 1935 Geneva married Virgil Ward at the Presbyterian Parsonage in Viroqua. She loved canning, gardening, watching baseball games, and the Wisconsin Badgers Geneva was a member of the United Church of Muscoda Presbyterian Church. She loved spending time with her family especially her son and grandchildren.

Geneva is survived by one son Bernard Ward of Muscoda, 4 grandchildren, Pamela (Randy) Lundgren of Blue River, Diane (Elander) Smallwood of Blue River, Timothy Ward of Muscoda, Brenda Walsh of Paddock Lake, 7 great-grandchildren: David and Jacob Lundgren, Michael and Frank Walsh, Rachel Franklin, Brittney Brasher, Taya Swallop, 8 great-great-children: Kaden and Issac Lundgren, Rylan, Gavin and Mason Lundgren, Lyle Walsh, Rylie O’Brien, Jack Swallop, Sister, Iva Payne of Platteville, Brother, Loren (Janet) Knaus of Lena, Sister-in-law Arbutus Schumacher of Muscoda, Brother-in-law, Harlan (Dolly) Ward of Hastings, MN, Many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, husband Virgil, daughter-in-law Lila Ward, great-grandson Richard Allen Lundgren, brothers: Almon Alderman, Vernon Alderman, Tom Knaus, Leo Knaus, Lindy Knaus, sister Myrella Kviz, and many half brothers and sisters.

Funeral services are pending with the Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service.
