Gary Allen Eigenfeld

DeForest-Gary A. Eigenfeld, age 73, was called to heaven on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. He was born on July 30, 1940 in Milwaukee, the son of Oscar and Edna (Eggert) Eigenfeld.

Gary graduated from Rufus King High School in 1958. After working his way through college, he started in the canning industry with Libby McNeil & Libby. Gary devoted his entire professional life to this industry, and completed his career at Ball Corporation in DeForest where he retired after 18 years of service to the company. Gary enjoyed fishing, horseshoes, bowling, and was an avid sports fan.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pat (Sarnowski); his three children who he was very proud of, Christine (Karl) Falkstrom, Monica (Mike) Rice, and Eric Eigenfeld; his grandchildren, Karina, Kyle, Erin, and Owen; his brother Neal (Anna Mae) Eigenfeld; niece Susan (Phillip) Zhuelke; nephews Randy (Christine) Eigenfeld and Timothy (Jimmie) Eigenfeld; and many loving relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm on Sunday, September 1, 2013, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 6924 Lake Road, DeForest, with Rev. Jerry Ewings officiating. A visitation will take place at the funeral home on Sunday from 10am until the time of service.
