Evelyn C. Barto, age 88, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital. She was born January 26, 1925 to the late Gus and Caroline (Lange) Froehlich. She married Glen Barto on October 23, 1944, he preceded her in death on April 8, 2004.

She is survived by her children; David Barto, Baraboo, Carolyn (Barb) Barto, Madison, Judy (Don) Hannam, Prairie du Sac, and Dennis Barto, Reedsburg; a daughter in-law, Jean Barto; a son in-law, Vern (Judy) Arzt; 7 grandchildren, James (Angie), Ron (Jennifer), Rhonda (Ted), Jake, Prudy, Teresa, Valerie (Matt); 9 great grand-children; 2 brothers, Hilary and Benjamin Froehlich; and a special friend and caregiver, Mary Anderson.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son Gus and a daughter Sharon.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 11:00 am at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City. Burial will follow in the Prairie du Sac Cemetery. Following the burial a gathering will be held at Midway Manor, 200 Webster Ave., Sauk City. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
