Rachel Ann Beil

Madison: Rachel Ann Beil, died unexpectedly on March 24, 2013 at Badger Prairie Health Care center in Verona. Born July 24, 1929 in Madison, she was the youngest child of Alois and Margaret Nettecoven Beil. Rachel graduated from Madison Central High School in 1948 and completed her nurses training in Milwaukee. After her retirement from the American Auto Assn. she volunteered for many non-profit agencies, including Chrysalis, Community Action Coalition and the Verona Senior Center. She enjoyed bingo and especially enjoyed playing cards with her dear friend JoAnn Russell.

She was a member of St. James Catholic Church .She had a beautiful voice and was fortunate to sing in the St James choir. She was a proud member of the Sweet Adeline’s and a loyal member of St Cecilia’s Court 955 of the National Catholic Order of Foresters.

Her sister Dorothy Beil, of Green Valley Ariz, several nieces and nephews and many friends, survive her. Her parents, and her siblings Josephine, Lorraine (Cyril) McGowan and Richard (Elisabeth) and nephew William predeceased her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Good Shepherd Catholic Parish at the St. James Church, 1128 St. James Court, Madison, with Father Ron Rank presiding.

Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will be at Resurrection cemetery.
